Sophia has experienced a very difficult foster care journey, moving from home to home and facing many challenges along the way. Because of the instability she has experienced, she hasn’t always had the opportunity to discover the things that make her happy or explore her own interests. Now, in a loving and supportive foster home, Sophia is beginning to find her own sense of style and has developed an interest in makeup and doing her hair. Despite everything she has been through, Sophia remains optimistic and hopeful about her future. She dreams of becoming a nurse in the Navy and is excited to build a life filled with purpose, stability, and opportunities to help others.

Sophia wishes for a gift card to shop for clothes that she can choose for herself. Throughout her foster care journey, she has often worn used or hand-me-down clothing and hasn’t had many opportunities to pick out clothes that reflect her own style and personality. As she begins a new chapter in a loving and supportive foster home, she would love the chance to shop for clothes that are new and truly her own. Starting high school is an important milestone for Sophia, and having fresh clothes that she feels confident and comfortable in would help her feel excited about this new beginning.
