Esperanza is currently in foster care. She has faced trauma and is working on improving her communication skills. Esperanza enjoys spending time with her foster family and loves listening to music and playing games. She performs well in school, particularly enjoys art, and is developing her interests.

Esperanza is eager for the new school year and dreams of owning a pair of Nike Dunk sneakers just like her peers. Having never been able to pick out her own shoes before, receiving these sneakers will give her a sense of pride and personal expression. Wearing shoes, she chose herself will help her feel confident, included, and ready to walk into school with enthusiasm.
