VA DSS - Chesapeake City CountyAlexis is a smart young lady who was placed in foster care without her three siblings. She loves to read and make up her own stories. Alexis has been through a lot of trauma but has not allowed that to define her.
Alexis will be starting community college at the end of August. She wants to get a certification in welding. Alexis wants to become an underwater welder. She loves working with her hands. Alexis works part-time at the college in the cafeteria. Alexis has been able to purchase most of her clothing from working. She recently asked for a new pair of shoes for school. Alexis does not like asking for anything because she has always gone without. Helping Alexis will not only help her financially but will show Alexis that it is ok to ask for help when she needs it.
