A laptop for Mia to continue her education
Mia, 18 years old, CA
Wish submitted by:
YMCA - ILSMia is a young woman embarking on her adult life in a new city after transitioning out of foster care at 18. Eager to embrace new opportunities, she moved hours away from the place she once called home and is determined to forge connections in her unfamiliar environment. Passionate about cosmetology, Mia is actively reaching out to resources that can help her settle in while pursuing her dream of earning her cosmetology certificate within the next couple of years. With her ambition and readiness to overcome any obstacles, she is set to move mountains in pursuit of her goals.
Mia has been diligently working to get her life back on track since moving to a new city. One of the significant steps she's taking is applying for cosmetology courses, along with business management classes. Her dream is to own her own salon in the near future, and she plans to start these courses this fall. To achieve her goals, Mia needs a laptop to complete her coursework effectively. She's making all the right moves towards her aspirations; she just needs the proper equipment to support her journey.
