Mikey was recently adopted by his sister! He is the youngest sibling and has had a number of medical challenges throughout his life. Mikey has had a brain and spinal malformation, and he has spent a lot of time in occupational, physical, and speech therapy to help him meet his developmental milestones and keep up in school. Mikey has grown so much over the years and is so sweet and respectful. He loves Legos, video games, and helping care for his baby nieces.

Mikey is really looking forward to the upcoming school year and has his heart set on getting a new backpack and lunch box. His old backpack has seen better days, with a big hole in it from last year, making it practically unusable. He's also never had a lunch box before, which he thinks would be perfect for packing healthy lunches. This year, he’s determined to bring his own meals instead of relying on school lunches, and he can't wait to start planning his nutritious options.
