Thomas is a young man who lives in a foster care residential home and has a unique sense of style and personality. He is a total sneakerhead who loves keeping up with the latest trends, cutting out pictures of his favorite shoes, and adding them to his vision board. Thomas also enjoys listening to music, playing video games, and gathering around the table for a good board game. He is deeply connected to the family he does have and is fiercely loyal to the people who have continued to stand by him. Those relationships mean a great deal to Thomas and give him a sense of belonging and connection. Beneath his love for sneakers, music, and games is a young man who values family, loyalty, and having people in his corner.

A new pair of basketball sneakers could mean so much more to Thomas than simply having the right shoes for the court. Having a pair that fits well and makes him feel confident could give him the encouragement he needs to step onto the court feeling like he belongs. Basketball can provide Thomas with a positive outlet, opportunities to build friendships, and a chance to experience teamwork and accomplishment. Being properly equipped could help him participate more comfortably alongside his peers and feel proud of what he brings to the team. For a young man living in residential care, having something that supports an activity he enjoys can bring a much-needed sense of normalcy, confidence, and joy. Most importantly, those sneakers could remind Thomas that his interests and passions matter and that he deserves the opportunity to pursue the things that make him happy.
