Daijah spent five years in the foster care system, where she learned to focus her energy on her future life and goals. She enjoys exploring different trails, being surrounded by nature, and challenging herself physically while taking in the beauty of the outdoors. As she works hard in school and gains valuable hands-on experience, Daijah maintains a tight financial budget and is unable to afford new hiking shoes.
