Rebecca is an energetic, friendly child who has made big progress during her time in foster care, but continues to struggle with her speech and cognitive functioning. Rebecca is diagnosed with ADHD and ODD, has a low IQ, and qualifies for an IEP and is educated in an MD (multiple disabilities) classroom. Rebecca was in foster care for three years in Kentucky before coming to Ohio, where she has been in foster care for over three years. She is currently in the process of being adopted by her current foster family, where her sister is also placed. Rebecca has blossomed during her time in foster care. Rebecca enjoys being around others, helping with the animals, is motivated to learn, and loves listening to songs and being creative.

Several other children in the home use personal tablets to support their learning, speech, and developmental growth. Rebecca having her own tablet will allow her access to self-paced, interactive educational programs tailored to her specific needs. It will also serve as a powerful tool for creative expression, turning screen time into an engaging experience that builds essential life and school skills. Additionally, specialized apps on the device will directly assist with her speech and language development while helping her learn to self-regulate.
