Lae’lani faced significant adversity and trauma growing up in a family where her birth mother struggled with substance abuse. Despite these difficult experiences, Lae’lani has maintained a positive outlook and continues to see the beauty in life despite the hardships she has faced. She loves school, gets along well with her peers, and shares a close, meaningful relationship with her grandmother, who has been an important source of love and support in her life.

Lae’lani needs new school clothes so she can begin the school year feeling confident, comfortable, and prepared to learn. She truly loves school and looks forward to being in the classroom, learning new things, and spending time with her teachers and classmates. Having clean, properly fitting clothes will help Lae’lani feel confident and comfortable each day, allowing her to focus on what she enjoys most: learning, participating in class, and spending time with her friends.
