Anna entered care after her caregiver passed away, and she had no other family to be placed with. She lost her twin sister when she was just five years old and has carried real feelings of loneliness ever since. Despite everything, she remains hopeful about being adopted and finding a family to call her own.

Anna loves Stitch because his story gives her hope that her own forever family is out there somewhere, since he's had a hard life too but never stopped believing in family. She once had a huggable Stitch as a little girl, the last gift her mom ever gave her, and it was lost during a move. Having a new one would help remind Anna that she's not alone and that her family is still out there waiting for her.
