Nita is a former foster youth currently participating in a transitional housing program. She is a vibrant young woman whose joyful energy can light up any room. Nita has a passion for teaching and helping others in any way she can. Despite facing numerous obstacles in her life as a former foster youth, she remains eager to assist others in overcoming their own challenges.

After aging out of foster care and moving around way too many times, Nita has worked hard to reach a place where she can build real stability and independence. A new job in Alaska is an important step toward that goal, but getting there also means making sure she has the right supplies to succeed from day one. Since she'll be working in a food-service environment, slip-resistant shoes are essential to working safely and staying prepared. Nita will be on her feet for long hours and around spills and wet surfaces, so dependable shoes with proper support and traction are essential. Because she'll be wearing them nearly every day on the job, she needs 2 pairs so she always has a reliable, dry pair ready to go while the other is cleaned or given a break. Having the proper shoes from day one would allow Nita to focus on learning the job, doing it well, and building toward the stable, independent future she's worked so hard for.
