In 2019, Jean was diagnosed with cancer and underwent radiation treatment in 2020. While still recovering, she was seriously injured in a 2021 car accident when a truck suddenly turned in front of her, causing a collision at approximately 55 miles per hour. She sustained significant injuries that continue to affect her today. As a realtor, these physical limitations, along with later diagnoses of PTSD and a brain injury, have significantly affected her ability to work, her income, and her daily life. Her son provides ongoing support by helping care for and walk Violet and assisting Jean as she continues to navigate her recovery.

Jean adopted Violet a few months ago, and since that day, Violet has been a source of joy and comfort in Jean's life, especially during tough times. With her patient, loving, and loyal nature, Violet has brought emotional grounding to Jean amidst life’s challenges. However, Violet is now battling cancer, and Jean is struggling to manage the mounting veterinary expenses due to her limited income and ongoing medical issues. She deeply wants to ensure that Violet receives the care she needs, but financial constraints have made it increasingly difficult.
