Ya'kei likes to read. He also likes to play with cars and dinosaurs. He has two younger brothers. He told his mom when he grew up, he wanted to be an artist.

With school starting back up, Ya'kei needs new clothes, but right now, that's simply out of reach. His mother currently has no income and doesn't have the means to buy what he needs for the school year. Something as simple as new clothes would make a real difference for Ya'kei. It would help him walk into the school year feeling confident and comfortable, just like every other kid in the hallway, with nothing setting him apart or holding him back. It would also alleviate stress off his mother, as it would be one less thing she needs to worry about providing for her son during this difficult time.
