Jake has been in foster care since his adoptive parents made the difficult decision to surrender their parental rights when they couldn't meet his mental and behavioral health needs. He's currently in a structured treatment program and is eager to take the next step toward permanency. More than anything, Jake longs for a family and a place to call home. Jake is bright and deeply knowledgeable about cars, able to talk at length about makes, models, years, and unique mechanical details with real enthusiasm. He also loves hands-on activities, especially building with LEGOs, and takes real pride in using his creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail. With the right family, support, and continued treatment, Jake has real potential to thrive, share his many talents, and build the stable, lasting relationships he's been hoping for.

Jake is growing quickly and needs a new pair of sneakers to start the school year. He'd love something stylish, the kind of shoes his peers are actually wearing, not just something functional. Having sneakers he genuinely feels good about would give Jake a sense of normalcy as he heads into the new year, helping him feel confident and included from day one.
