Cody is a motivated young man ready to start college. As a former foster youth, he has faced many challenges but remains focused on building a better future for himself and others. He will major in Psychology with the goal of becoming a mental health counselor for youth who have experienced trauma. Cody wants to be the supportive figure he lacked growing up, listening and helping others heal. He is known for his compassion, dependability, and self-awareness. Outside of school, he enjoys writing poetry, playing basketball, and hiking, finding peace in nature. Cody is determined to turn his struggles into purpose and make the most of his college journey.

Cody is determined and working hard to build a stable and independent future after aging out of foster care. One of the biggest challenges he faces is reliable transportation. An e-scooter would give Cody the freedom and flexibility to get to and from school consistently while also opening the door to employment opportunities currently out of reach, as there are few jobs within walking distance of where he lives. Providing this for Cody will help him stay on track with his education, access meaningful employment, and take an important step toward self-sufficiency.
