South Florida Wellness NetworkBlair entered into the foster care system when her grandmother became too sick to care for her. Moving to a different home and school has been challenging for her, and although she is doing well in school, Blair is having a hard time connecting socially. Blair's case manager has helped her learn the importance of community and building connections. She lives in a home with other girls and still does not feel like part of the house. In her free time, Blair enjoys watching movies. She hopes to be a social worker one day so she can help kids the way her case manager helps her.
Blair feels lonely and wants to connect with others as she adjusts to her new home with other girls. Aware that she sometimes withdraws socially, Blair is determined to resist that urge. She is looking for a projector so she can watch movies and television with her new housemates. Blair recognizes that she can isolate herself and wants to do the opposite, as her case manager recommended. She also hopes to share her love of movies with her new housemates and is excited for them to share their interests, too.
