Matthew is an extraordinary young man who is currently living in a group home after spending many years in therapeutic and residential settings. Being in the foster care system for nearly seven years has been incredibly challenging for Matthew, yet he continues to maintain a positive attitude and always has a joke to share. Although he was never adopted, as he had hoped after his parents passed away, he is now learning independent-living skills and preparing to age out of the system at the end of the year and transition into extended foster care. He remains hopeful and looks forward to eventually returning to his hometown.

Matthew has always loved collecting action figures, especially characters from Dragon Ball Z, Star Wars, and different anime series. Dragon Ball Z is one of his favorites, and Cell is his favorite character. Matthew once had a very large action figure collection that meant a lot to him. Unfortunately, he has moved to three different group homes in the last month because of placement and space issues. During these moves, many of his action figures have been lost, stolen, or broken, and he has been devastated to see a collection he spent so much time building disappear. Matthew is now in a more stable environment and would really love to start rebuilding his collection. This Cell action figure would be especially meaningful to him because Cell is his favorite Dragon Ball character. Receiving it would mean so much to Matthew and give him something exciting and positive to look forward to after experiencing so much transition and instability recently.
