Andrew is an amazing teenager who loves music, school, and working hard. He entered foster care with his younger brother and has lived in different homes before finding a supportive pre-adoptive placement. As a barista, he enjoys learning about coffee flavors and working with his team. Andrew dreams of pursuing a career in the biomed or biotech industry and is considering graduate studies in entomology as he applies to various universities. While he has been a great caretaker for his brother, he is now enjoying the chance to explore his interests and be a kid in a nurturing environment.

When Andrew is stressed and needs a break, he finds real comfort in reading, since a good book can transport him somewhere else entirely. A friend recently got a Kindle, and Andrew would love to have one of his own to carry in his backpack and read on the bus. It's small and compact, but it can hold all of his favorite books, and he can't wait to start downloading some of his favorite novels.
