After the 4 years Artashia spent in Foster Care, she knows her younger self would be proud of the work she is now doing to advocate for young children in the system, and beat the stigma around foster youth. She wishes there were more resources and programs tailored for foster kids, as she knows firsthand how great of an impact they can have. Artashia credits the summer camp "Happy Trails for Kids" for providing her with the support, engagement, and motivation she needed through uncertain times. Artashia has recently gotten into photography, and dreams of starting a photography business and continuing to be a foster youth advocate in her future. In her free time, Artashia loves cooking, taking photos, painting, and camping.

Camping has always been one of Artashia’s favorite ways to find joy, peace, and connection with the outdoors. As a young adult, she dreams of making camping a more regular part of her life, creating new memories and enjoying the sense of freedom that comes with being outside. Unfortunately, the cost of essential camping gear has made that difficult. A portable camp toilet would help make camping more accessible for Artashia, giving her the opportunity to spend more time outdoors doing something she truly loves.
