Liv entered foster care at the age of 14 and aged out of the system at 21. Since aging out, she has faced many challenges on her own, including ongoing housing instability. She often sleeps on friends’ couches while trying to find a safe, stable place to call home. In 2025, Liv's life changed dramatically when she was involved in a terrible car accident. The injuries she sustained left the entire left side of her body with metal hardware, and she continues to experience significant limitations in her movement. These physical challenges have made it difficult for her to find work that she can physically manage while also providing enough income to support herself. She is currently navigating the difficult process of seeking disability assistance while trying to find a path toward financial stability. Despite everything Liv has experienced, she continues to choose hope. Liv has a deep love for nature. Being outdoors gives her peace and makes her feel connected to something greater than herself. Even when she is struggling herself, Liv looks for ways to support the people around her. She has a remarkable ability to find something positive in difficult situations and encourages others to hold onto their faith in God.

Liv is actively working toward financial independence and stable employment. However, reliable transportation has become a significant barrier for her. Due to the serious injuries she sustained in a car accident, she has limited mobility and finds it extremely difficult and physically exhausting to walk long distances. Receiving an electric scooter would mean much more to Liv than simply having transportation. It would give her greater independence, mobility, and access to employment opportunities while helping her work within the physical limitations she continues to face. Liv has shown incredible determination throughout the challenges she has experienced. This scooter would remove another barrier between Liv and the independence she is working so hard to achieve.
