Kaiden is participating in a program to address his mental health and behaviors. This is his second time receiving care, but he is committed to improving his future and his ability to remain in his adoptive kinship home. Kaiden has experienced a significant amount of trauma throughout his life. He was raised by his grandparents because his biological parents struggled with mental health issues and drug use. Kaiden is very intelligent and tends to keep to himself.

Kaiden is in residential care and could really use a few pairs of everyday pants to wear while hanging out and going about his daily routine. A Nike gift card would let him pick multiple pairs himself, in the styles and fits he actually likes, rather than whatever is available. That kind of choice gives Kaiden more than new clothes. It offers him a genuine sense of independence and self-expression, along with a bit of personal ownership during a time when so many other decisions in his daily life are made for him.
