A laptop would give Joshua the opportunity to further explore his interests outside the classroom, especially his passion for creating short films. He enjoys making horror films while learning about camera angles, sound, and editing. Having his own laptop would let him practice these skills, build his filmmaking abilities, and support his schoolwork.
