Autumn is in a kinship placement with her aunt and uncle, where she lives with her siblings. She is adjusting to her new home and the changes that come with being in a different environment. While she is beginning to settle in, the transition has been difficult at times. Autumn misses her parents, her home, and the life she knew before the move. She is working through these feelings as she gets used to her new surroundings and routine. In her free time, Autumn loves being outside and spending time with her friends. Being outdoors and connecting with people she enjoys brings happiness and normalcy to her days. Having opportunities to spend time with her friends and enjoy activities she loves is important to Autumn as she continues adjusting and finding her place in her new home.

Picture day can feel like a lot of pressure- one photo meant to capture a whole year- and Autumn wants to make sure she feels genuinely like herself when it's taken. Rather than settling for whatever's on hand, she'd love the chance to shop for her outfit, try things on, compare options, and figure out what feels right. It just so happens her siblings will be doing the same thing that day, turning a simple errand into something the whole group gets to enjoy together. For Autumn, walking away with an outfit she chose herself, on a day she got to spend with her siblings, would make picture day feel like something to look forward to, not something to get through.
