Independence High SchoolBrissa was in foster care all her life and then transitioned into supports through extended foster care. When those housing supports ended, she found herself on the streets and is currently homeless after escaping domestic violence with her ex-partner. She loves listening to music, spending time with her two dogs, and tattoos. She is hoping to get towards more stability and build a bright and safe future for herself
Right now, Brissa is living under a bridge without a home and doing everything she can to care for herself and her dog, who has stayed by her side through it all. Getting enough food for both of them has become a daily struggle, and without consistent access to nutritious meals, Brissa's health is at real risk. A Safeway gift card would give her a way to get the essential nutrients she needs to stay healthy, along with food for her dog, easing at least one part of an incredibly difficult situation while she works toward finding stable housing.
