Darron is currently living in transitional housing. He has been in foster care since his mother’s tragic death in 2015 and has experienced living in three different foster homes. Darron is now attending Seton Hall University through the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). He aspires to become a sports journalist after completing his college education. Darron is a resilient young man who is always willing to help others whenever he can. Additionally, he volunteers at a local senior center on Saturdays.

Darron is a junior in college now, living on campus for the first time in a way that's genuinely given him confidence, a real shift after spending most of his life moving from foster home to foster home. One of his favorite things is hosting friends in his dorm for game watch parties, the kind of everyday moments that come naturally to a lot of people but mean something deeper to Darron. A pizza oven would let him keep doing that without stretching his budget, giving his friends good food while giving himself the chance to be the host, the gatherer, someone people want to be around. It's a small kitchen upgrade, but for Darron, it supports something bigger: the community and belonging he's finally found.
