Galinda has been in and out of foster care since 2023 due to a tumultuous relationship between her mother and stepfather. She loves her sister more than anything and deeply misses seeing her every day. Galinda is a strong self-advocate with an infectious, enthusiastic personality. As Galinda approaches her 18th birthday, she's stepping into adulthood after years of moving between placements and schools. Through it all, her faith has become a real source of comfort and hope. She identifies as Christian and has openly shared her desire to grow closer to God, but she's never had a Bible of her own. Having one would give her something deeply personal to hold onto during a season of so much change, a way to explore her faith and build a spiritual foundation as she starts this next chapter.
