Maya is adjusting well after being separated from her family. In school, she works hard and loves music class. She is interested in picking up an instrument and learning how to play. Although she is unsure of which instrument because she thinks they all look fun. Maya can be quiet but once she feels safe and comfortable she will open up and engage in conversation. She loves to write and Journals daily. Writing helps her express herself.

Maya would love the chance to dress up and go trick-or-treating with her new friends this Halloween. She recently changed her goal from adoption to independent living while navigating many other changes in her life. Granting this wish would ease some financial stress and give Maya an opportunity to express herself, connect with her peers, and feel included. With limited support, this experience would help her create joyful memories and enjoy Halloween alongside her friends.
