Miaomiao was formerly in foster care and is currently living with a former foster parent that has agreed to host her. She is currently working towards becoming a veterinarian and looks forward to working with animals. She is an English language learner and is trying her best to advance in her education and language learning. She would love to continue her work at the College of Staten Island and one day become a veterinarian.

Living in her dorm without a mini fridge has made things more challenging for Miaomiao than people might realize. Without a way to store food, she has had to spend extra money eating out more often than she would like, even though she genuinely enjoys cooking for herself. A mini fridge would not only help her save money but also allow her to explore and learn new recipes. For Miaomiao, this small appliance would significantly alleviate the financial pressure of feeding herself while she is away at school.
