CrossRoads Programs IncThe youth has been in our foster care since June 2026. Prior to placement in our treatment home, she experienced multiple placements in group home settings. The youth has documented diagnoses of Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Insomnia. Prior to placement, the youth displayed significant behavioral challenges, including aggression toward adults and peers. Since entering our treatment home, we have worked with her to develop and practice healthier coping skills and alternative ways to manage her emotions and behaviors. The youth has demonstrated significant progress since her placement. She is attending school consistently, following rules and expectations established by adults, and demonstrating improved behavior and interactions with others. She has also expressed a desire to make positive changes in her life and stated that she wants to improve herself in order to have a better future. Overall, the youth has shown meaningful growth and an increased willingness to use positive coping strategies, follow expectations, and make healthier choices. Continued support, structure, consistency, and encouragement will help her maintain the progress she has made.
Yana enjoys dressing up and staying up to date with current fashion trends. She takes pride in her appearance and likes to express her personality through her clothing and footwear. Yana understands that her foster parent may not always be able to purchase the newest or most preferred items, as there are other youth in the home who also have needs. However, Yana has expressed a particular desire for a new pair of sneakers that would be suitable for school and everyday wear. Having these sneakers would not only provide her with appropriate footwear but would also boost her sense of confidence and personal expression.
