Mariana is a joy to be around! Her laugh is infectious and she is such a polite young girl. She loves going to school and learning. Her favorite subject is math and she is in the excel class for it. She wants to be an engineer when she grows up but isn't sure what kind yet. She is very creative and enjoys arts and crafts. Her favorite color is pink. She is being supported by DCFS after being removed from her father following her mother's passing.

Mariana has suffered a double loss and is struggling to deal with everything. First she suffered the loss of her mother, and now she has been removed from her father. Mariana doesn't have any other family members who could step up and take her in. Mariana is not asking for anything, but she needs a lot. Mariana was not able to take any of her belongings from the home so she had only the clothes on her back. The Division provided some support but she is still greatly in need. A gift card to Walmart would allow Mariana to pick out some clothes to wear to school. She currently is wearing donated clothes but she needs more.
