Mariana is a joy to be around! Her laugh is infectious and she is such a polite young girl. She loves going to school and learning. Her favorite subject is math and she is in the excel class for it. She wants to be an engineer when she grows up but isn't sure what kind yet. She is very creative and enjoys arts and crafts. Her favorite color is pink. She is being supported by DCFS after being removed from her father following her mother's passing.

Mariana's birthday is coming up, and it should be a happy occasion. Unfortunately, her world has been turned upside down for the second time, and her caseworker is trying to make this birthday a good one for her. Her mother was taken from her tragically when she was young, and now she was removed from her dad. Mariana needs a new pair of shoes. She left her home wearing only the clothes on her back and the slides she had on. A gift card to Kid's Foot Locker would let her pick out a pair or two of new sneakers to wear that fit comfortably and help her feel good.
