To Daphne, family means everything. Growing up in the foster care system, she has been working hard to reconnect with her family and loved ones throughout her life. She cares deeply about her connections and wants the best for them. Daphne enjoys spending time with her family playing video games, shopping and watching movies.

Daphne is incredibly excited to begin her cosmetology program this December, a dream she's held onto since she was a little girl and has worked hard to finally reach. The one thing she's still missing is a laptop, something she'll need for reliable access to complete assignments throughout the program. Daphne lives in an area where public transportation is difficult to access, and she doesn't live near a library, so regularly traveling just to use a computer isn't realistic. Without one of her own, something as basic as finishing her coursework becomes a real source of stress. A laptop would let Daphne complete her schoolwork from home and stay on top of her assignments without worrying about how she'll get to a computer. She's worked hard to get to this point, and a laptop would remove a real barrier standing between her and starting this program with the confidence she deserves.
