Ebone is a bright, beautiful young girl who has experienced more change and uncertainty than any child should have to navigate. After moving through multiple homes in a short time, she has understandably become reserved and guarded, often needing time to feel safe before letting others see her personality shine. Trust does not come easily for Ebone, and she can carry a lot of fear and worry as she tries to understand what comes next. Now in a kinship placement, she is slowly coming out of her shell and discovering that she can be surrounded by people who care about her and want to see her thrive. She enjoys the simple joys of being a kid and is beginning to show more curiosity, playfulness, and personality as she feels more secure. With patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement, Ebone can build confidence, develop trusting relationships, and experience the sense of safety and belonging she deserves.

A hoverboard would give Ebone a fun reason to get outside, clear her head, and simply be a kid. After so many recent changes, she needs something to look forward to and a healthy way to let go of big feelings when they feel like too much. Learning to ride will build her confidence with every wobble she conquers, and it would give her a natural way to meet other children in her new neighborhood and make friends at her own pace. With a hoverboard, Ebone can find a little freedom, plenty of laughter, and new memories in the place she is learning to call home.
