She had to take time away from education to attend to a family crisis and later to care for her newborn son. She loves working with kids and hopes to make an impact on the next generation in her community. Deanna spends her spare time ensuring her son has a safe, happy environment in which to thrive.
Deanna's son has a birthday coming up, but money is tight right now, and she can't buy him a present. He recently fell in love with Lego and builds whenever he can, and he is a big fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Deanna knows exactly what would make his day: a Lego Nightmare Before Christmas set that brings together two things he loves. Opening that box and starting to build would make his birthday feel special, and it would lift a heavy worry off a mom who wants nothing more than to see him happy.
