Bobby is a refugee who left his family years ago and was sent to America for safety. Bobby is a determined, hardworking young man who has had to figure out life in a new country on his own. He lives in a therapeutic group home but hopes to save money to get an apartment soon with some of the other young men. Bobby enjoys spending time with his friends and playing soccer, but most of his time is dedicated to working whenever he can and finding opportunities to help his future.

Bobby is about to start working toward his Certified Nursing Assistant certification, and the course begins in less than two weeks. He has been working hard to take jobs that give him experience with different populations, so he knows what the work really involves. To complete his coursework and earn the certification, he needs his own laptop. He will be working throughout the program, so he cannot rely on public resources like the library. A laptop would let Bobby start on time and take a big step toward a career in caring for others.
