Edina has always set high hopes for herself, even as a child. After being placed in foster care at the age of 12, she remained determined to become someone unique, not just another statistic. She has truly beaten the odds! Today, Edina is a proud mother to her sweet daughter. She is passionate about ASL and works hard to connect former foster youth with academic resources. Her dream is to travel the world, teaching sign language to those who are deaf and lack access to education. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, visiting the park, traveling, and learning American Sign Language.

Edina is preparing for surgery at the end of October following her cancer diagnosis. To help her feel as comfortable and supported as possible, we would like to put together a collection of essentials for before and after her surgery. This includes soft pajamas, non-slip slippers, a cozy neck pillow, personal care supplies, a water bottle, ice packs, and other recovery items. Having these on hand will make her recovery easier and help her rest and heal in comfort. Giving her these will remind her that she is loved and supported during these especially hard times.
