VA DSS - Chesapeake City CountyKayla is an amazing little girl who was recently places in a foster home with her younger sibling. Kayla loves being a big sister to her little brother. Foster Care has been tough on Kayla and she remains hopeful she will be going back home soon. Kayla loves school and gets very good grades. She has experienced quite a bit of trauma in her young life but has not allowed her trauma to stop her from seeing good in all people.
Kayla loves Halloween and anime, and she is excited to attend her very first anime cosplay Halloween party this year. She enjoys creating cosplays from the anime items she has collected over time, using them to express herself and explore her identity. Kayla has also been working extremely hard to improve her grades and catch up in school. Attending the party in a costume inspired by her favorite anime would allow her to celebrate her interests, express her creativity, and feel proud of her progress.
