NJ DCFS - Essex CountySyncere is a child that warms up the room instantly with his presence. He is so loving, caring, respectful, and thoughtful despite the hardships and turbulent childhood that he experienced. He has experience great loss at such a young age and faced tremendous neglect. Syncere has been in foster care for more than half of his life now. Syncere is a child that wants to love as much as he wants to be loved. He will never eat before first making sure that others have food and will give from his own to ensure this is possible. In the many years I have known Syncere, his only requests have only ever been a simple bag of chips. Syncere loves excelling in his academics and will often give himself extra homework to ensure that he becomes fully proficient in the subject at hand. He loves to play sports and spend time outdoors. He is a social butterfly and maintains friendships from previous schools that he has attended. Syncere enjoys playing online video games with these friends to remain connected. Syncere has expressed an interest in law enforcement when he grows up which perfectly aligns with his constant desire to help and care for others.
Syncere has experienced many hardships and significant loss of family at such a young age. Syncere has been through numerous foster homes and has continued to experience further loss of friends. He has recently discovered that many of his friends from his previous schools enjoy playing video games together through the PlayStation 5. The children can voice chat while playing the same game together, competing playfully or working together in team-based games. Syncere is a very humble child, and providing him with a PlayStation 5 would have a very positive impact on his life, both on his emotional well-being and his ability to stay connected and maintain long-term informal support.
