Mariah recently lost her job and is working hard to launch a new career. She currently lives with her grandparents and serves as their caregiver, helping manage household responsibilities. While her caregiving duties can affect her availability for work, she remains focused on finding paths to financial stability.

A week and a half ago, Mariah started experiencing excruciating pain in her stomach and went to the ER. She ended up having to get emergency surgery, during which they removed part of her colon and small intestine. Mariah now has a colostomy bag for the rest of her life. She is being discharged from the hospital today and is very concerned about her recovery, as she usually is a stomach sleeper. In the hospital, they provided certain pillows to help with comfort and prevent her from moving and irritating the bag. This pregnancy pillow would be extremely helpful for her recovery and as she gets used to this new transition in her life.
