Bonnie is a free-spirited, animal-loving girl currently in foster care. She has faced many obstacles in her life, both before entering care and while in care. She is working very hard to overcome these struggles. She is a very nurturing girl who loves animals and dreams of becoming a veterinarian one day. She is also a huge fan of The Addams Family, whether it's the cartoon, the live-action show, or the movies. Her favorite color is purple, and her favorite food is Krispy Kreme donuts.

Bonnie is working very hard to learn how to read, and she can get frustrated when she doesn’t know a word right away. A set of 12 early reader books at varying difficulty levels would give her stories she can enjoy at her own pace, with easier books to celebrate and a few challenges to grow into. Each page she finishes would build her confidence and show her how much she can do. Over time, reading could become something she looks forward to instead of something that feels hard.
