The Friends of Foster CareJasper is very small, and he has already faced more change than any little one should. He entered foster care as a baby, and the grown-ups who care for him know that his early days were uncertain. He doesn’t yet have the words to explain what he's been through, but it shows in how he clings to familiar things and watches closely when someone new walks into the room. Predictable routines, gentle voices, and a lot of cuddles help him feel safe, and each day he grows a little braver. When music plays, Jasper dances, bouncing on his toes and clapping out his own beat. He loves scribbling with fat crayons, pushing toy cars across the floor with a determined “vroom,” and chasing a ball across the yard with a giggle that could melt anyone’s heart. He is joyful, curious, and full of wiggles, and he deserves a steady, loving place to keep exploring the world with a smile.
Jasper spends his days zooming cars across the floor and stacking whatever he can find, so a construction dress-up set is a natural fit for his busy little hands. With a hard hat and his own tool belt, he can march around the house as a hardworking builder, fixing, hammering, and making sure everything is just right. Pretend play helps little ones practice being brave, capable, and creative, and building something, even in make-believe, is a powerful way for him to feel strong and in charge.
