Krissy has faced many challenges throughout her life. With her father incarcerated and her mother struggling with substance abuse, she was often left to care for her sibling with disabilities at a young age. Despite these hardships, she has shown incredible strength and resilience. Since entering foster care, she has continued to work hard in school while maintaining a job. She is excited to take the next step toward independence by entering the Extended Foster Care program. She has overcome so much and continues working toward a bright, successful future for herself.

Krissy is preparing to move into her new apartment and is excited to begin this new chapter of adulthood! She will be transitioning into an Extended Foster Care living arrangement, where she will have her own bedroom and share common areas with other young adults who have aged out of foster care. Although she feels a little nervous about living more independently for the first time, she is looking forward to making her new space feel like home. A TV would be a wonderful addition to her room, giving her a way to relax, enjoy her favorite shows, and unwind during her downtime when she is not attending school.
