Grace Retreat Foster Care and Adoption ServicesEddie is an active young man who enjoys shooting hoops, visiting the batting cages, playing video games, and spending time with his friends. After being removed from his mother’s care due to unsafe living conditions and other concerns, Eddie was placed with a kinship family. He has been making meaningful progress in advocating for himself and speaking up when he feels unsafe. With continued support, Eddie is building confidence in expressing his needs and recognizing the importance of his own safety and well-being.
Eddie is excited to get back into baseball but needs new equipment after losing all of his belongings when his mother’s home was deemed unlivable. Now living with a kinship family, Eddie is grateful for their support, but they cannot afford the baseball gear he hopes to have. He has his eye on a Rawlings glove and a pair of shiny black cleats, and he would love the chance to visit Dick’s Sporting Goods and pick out the items that make him feel excited to get back on the field. Baseball has always helped Eddie feel confident and in control, and having equipment of his own would bring him joy and remind him that he is valued and supported as he starts this new chapter.
