Voices for Children - San DiegoKaitlin and her siblings were originally removed from their mother’s care due to extreme neglect, and later endured sexual abuse in their first foster home placement. Due to her prior circumstances, much of her young life has consisted of going to school and endless appointments with doctors, investigators, therapists, and social workers. Yet, despite it all, she is incredibly sweet and fun-loving, having shown remarkable resilience. She spends so much time in her car travelling to appointments that giving her an artistic outlet that she can use while driving to and from school and appointments would allow her use that time for something fun for herself.
Kaitlin is a creative young girl who loves art and drawing. She spends a lot of time in the car traveling to and from school, which is about 40 minutes each way, and makes frequent trips to various appointments. With so much time on the road, activities that keep her entertained and give her a creative outlet would be a wonderful way for Kaitlin to make those long rides more enjoyable.
