The Friends of Foster CareHarlow has experienced several foster care placements and currently lives in a group home. After years of instability, she continues to struggle with sleep and often feels exhausted, making it difficult to keep up with school. However, spending time outdoors, especially going for walks in the fresh air, helps her feel calmer and more hopeful. Harlow dreams of becoming a park ranger and hopes to build a future surrounded by nature. Encouraging her to spend more time outside and find healthy ways to manage stress would help support her well-being as she works toward her goals.
When the weight of a sleepless night is heavy, a morning bike ride could be exactly what Harlow needs. A bike would give her a way to get outside, feel the fresh air on her face, and release the tension she carries. Regular exercise can help improve sleep, mood, and focus, all things she’s working hard to find. For a girl who has felt trapped by so many circumstances, a bike offers a literal way to move forward.
