River is the youngest of four siblings and has entered the world during an incredibly challenging time for the family. Just weeks after River’s birth, the family lost their home and is now living in a hotel. River’s mother knows firsthand how difficult life can be without a support system, having aged out of foster care herself. Although River’s father cares deeply and helps however he can, he is also navigating personal challenges. With three young siblings and a newborn to care for, their mother is facing an overwhelming amount of responsibility without the family support many parents rely on. River deserves the same peaceful, comfortable beginning every baby should have, regardless of the family’s current circumstances.

River’s first Christmas should be filled with warmth, comfort, and precious memories, but life has been incredibly difficult for this little family. After losing their home shortly after River was born, their mother is caring for four young children in a hotel without a family support system to lean on. This portable crib with a bassinet and changing station would give River a dedicated place to sleep and be cared for, while making everyday routines a little easier for Mom. More than just a Christmas gift, it would provide something the family can take with them as they work toward finding a permanent home, bringing a little stability and peace of mind during an uncertain time.
