1 week of camp at a YMCA for Kira

Kira heard about a local YMCA offering an outdoor summer camp, and wants to give it a try! She hasn’t had much experience ever being outside exploring! She would get to experience the traditional camp activities of swimming, boating, sports & games, along with rock climbing, all day hiking adventures, kayaking, and low ropes course. Kira will have the chance to make new, positive memories she can carry forever.
Kira is 21 years old and lives in NJ
Kira loves learning new makeup tricks, fashion and exploring new trends. Kira entered foster care at 10 and has been bounced between quite a few homes before being placed in a therapeutic environment. It took her a while to open up given the nature of her trauma, but she has recently been using her passion for dance to help her express herself. Kira has been living in one of our agency’s professional parent homes for about 8 months and is working through her trauma from being abused and neglected.
