Mahkiyah has been having a tough time lately and had to spend some time in the hospital. At the hospital she was required to take out her weave for safety reasons. Mahkiyah worked hard to get out of the hospital, but has to be placed in respite for reasons beyond her control. A new hairstyle would give her some self-esteem back, and be something for her to enjoy while she is separated from her siblings.
Mahkiyah is 21 years old and lives in OH
Mahkiyah is a very well-spoken teenage girl. She is polite and very wise for her age. Mahkiyah has a very positive relationship with her siblings and is not afraid to open up to others. She excels in school and is able to ask for help when needed. She is involved in the community and enjoys being around others. Mahkiyah is a talented writer and enjoys writing poetry and song lyrics. She also enjoys theatrical hobbies, and is very artistic. Mahkiyah is part of a sibling group of 6 that had been placed in separate homes for almost a year, before finally being placed in a home all together. The siblings are all very bonded and so happy to be in the same home!
