Kaliyah was recently accepted into the Police Explorer program and could not be more excited.
In the program she has to wear a specific pair of shoes that she cannot afford for herself. Entering this program is a dream come true for Kaliyah who has been working hard to make a better life for herself. Let's help her reach her goals!
Kaliyah is 23 years old and lives in MN
Kaliyah enjoys playing all types of sports especially basketball, football and track and field. When she's not playing sports, she enjoys making arts and crafts and giving advice to her friends and others. When she grows up, she wants to be a Children's Adolescent Mental Health Therapist because she loves helping people, especially younger kids. Helping people always makes her feel good about herself too. Kaliyah says, "You can always be someone's sunshine when their skies are grey. "

"Joseph - This note came in from Kaliyah who just got her boots. To the person who granted my wish- Thank you so much for being so generous to grant my wish. When I was just a little girl I always dreamed of being a police officer. Although that has changed to be my 2ND career choice, I still have wanted to get some experience in law enforcement. There's a program called Police Explorer and it's for teens who may want to be in law enforcement. Your kind gesture has help me get into that program. We have to wear certain clothing and we are required to wear black work boots, the boots I wished for. So thank you so much for being so kind and making my wish come true. -KP"
