Damion suffers from anxiety and sensory integration issues. He has received occupational, developmental and physical therapy to address these issues. His therapist recommended adding a compression vest to assist the grandparents in helping Damion as he develops more skills related to coping and development. A weighted vest will help Damion feel more grounded and will help with concentration and focus when he begins pre-school, and calming when he starts to get overwhelmed. The vest will feel like a hug that he can tolerate when a physical touch may be more than he can handle.
Damion is 9 years old and lives in IN
Damion has lived with his grandparents for 2 1/2 years after being removed from his parents. Damion and his siblings were removed due to allegations of drug use and domestic violence. Damion is a super sweet three year old who loves animals. He likes to help his older siblings care for the animals they raise for 4-H projects and hopes to join 4-H when he is old enough. He is a joy to be around and can light up a room with his smile and bright eyes.
